CONDITIONS OF TRAVEL

ROUTE SERVICES

Bookings are required for all services. Tickets are not valid for travel unless a current booking number is recorded. Persons without a valid booking, where no seat is available, will not be carried. Open tickets are valid for 90 days from date of issue.

Check-in: Main Transit Centres - 30 minutes prior to departure time (ticketed passengers 10 minutes prior to departure time). On route stops - 20 mins prior to stop time.

Non-computer ticketed passengers must check in at ticketing counter on arrival at the first Main Transit Centre for booking verification on subsequent sectors.

Children: Unaccompanied Children under the age of seven (7) years unless travelling to or from school must be accompanied by a fare paying adult or concession passenger over the age of 15 years. Unaccompanied Children between the age of seven (7) and fifteen (15) years travel subject to Traffic Supervisor approval and must submit to the authority of the coach captain. Children under the age of four (4) who do not occupy a seat may travel free.

Baggage: All baggage must be carried in baggage lockers. Each passenger is allowed two standard pieces of luggage. Additional charges apply where more than two items or extra large or heavy items are lodged. On board personal or hand luggage is limited to one small item per passenger and is subject to the approval of the Coach Captain or Traffic Supervisor. Baggage Liability is limited to $100 per passenger unless a higher value is declared in advance and additional charges paid. Tasmanian Redline Coaches Pty Ltd standard conditions of carriage of freight apply to all baggage. No Liability accepted for plastic, candy stripe or garbage bags.

Changes to Fares and Timetables: The company reserves the right to alter fares and timetables where required without prior notice.

Cancellation Fees and Refunds: Minimum $5.00 fee applies to all refunds

More than 14 days notice 30% fee. More than 48 hours but less than 14 days notice 40% fee. Less than 48 hours notice or failure to travel no refund. Multistop tickets no refund. Cancellation of Open Return ticket 25% fee. Sector changes permitted only if advised 24hours prior to departure of ticketed sector.

 

TOURS and SPECIAL EXCURSIONS

Tours and special excursions operate subject to sufficient number of booked and prepaid passengers. Tickets sold only for the tour or excursion on the ticket. Tickets are not transferable to another person or service. Tickets are not refundable unless the tour or excursion is cancelled. Whilst large coaches are generally used on main routes for some tours mini coaches may be used due to passenger loadings and/or road restrictions (eg Cradle Mt and Dove Lake).

 

TASSIE PASS

Tassie Pass ticket allows unlimited travel on our main route services and selected tourist destinations within the active days of the pass. For sector ticketing the Tassie Pass booking number must be quoted and sufficient ID supplied. First sector must be used within 90 days of Tassie Pass purchase. The active days are calculated from date of first travel. Tassie Pass is not available on Airport shuttle services.

Cancellation Fees and Refunds: Where Tassie Pass has not been activated 20% fee.  Where a Tassie Pass is activated no refund.
